Chocolate Cookies Recipe

I finally got round to making these tasty cookies. I have always wanted to make some large cookies, like the Millie's Cookies. Yummmm!

I'm sure you've all heard of Tanya Burr, well I watch her vlogs, beauty videos and read her blog and I came across a post she had done, where she made some scrummy cookies. I've really been wanting to make these for ages and finally I have, and I'm so glad I have.

To make 10 rather large cookies, you will need:
  • 200g Butter
  • 300g Caster Sugar
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 275g Self Raising Flour
  • 75g Cocoa Powder
  • A splash of milk (dosen't matter what kind, I used Skimmed)
  • A large bar of milk, white and dark chocolate and 3 dime bars.
I did't use any dark chocolate, as we are not that keen on dark, so I left it out.

  1. Measure all you ingredients out.
  2. Set your oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  3. Mix together the butter and sugar, I used an electric whisk, as you get a smooth consistency.
  4. Crack 1 large egg into your mixture and whisk again.
  5. Then just add all your dry ingredients and mix together, my mixture was a little tough and dry, that's where the splash of milk comes in. It makes it more moist.
  6.  Line 2 baking trays with baking paper or foil, and plop, yes plop 5 blobs onto each tray.
  7. Once your oven is set to 200 degrees, put your trays into the oven for 11 minutes.
Tanya mentioned that 11 minutes was the perfect time and it is, they came out looking not cooked at all and was still wobbly. But leave them to set for 30 minutes and they are perfect. .

The chocolate will melt in the middle and they are extremely soft and chewy, and have a nice crunch from the dime bar too.

I would recommend that you guys try these and let me know how your turn out.

Thank you Tanya Burr for this great recipe.

Loreal Elvive - Triple Resist x3 Shampoo and Conditioner

I've heard nothing but good things about this shampoo and conditioner, so I thought I would give it a go. As you may know from previous hair posts that my hair is very fine and doesn't hold a style that well. This shampoo and conditioner does say on the bottle that it's for hair that is fragile and with a tendency to fall.

The Loreal Elvive triple resist reinforcing shampoo and conditioner worked straight away in my opinion. I've always washed my hair twice with shampoo and use a small amount of conditioner and from using them once I could feel a difference straight away in the condition of my hair, it felt stronger and thicker.

My hair seems to feel and look thicker throughout the day and also when I have my hair in a style it does actually stay put.

I would recommend this shampoo and conditioner to anyone who has fine or fragile hair. It smells really nice too, like you've just left the salon.

You can buy these products from any drug store or supermarket. I purchased mine from Home Bargains for a little cheaper than boots for example. They were around £1.99 each, whereas Boots they are £3.99.

I've nearly finished these and will definitely be purchasing them again.

Well done Loreal, a super shampoo and conditioner.

9 Week Old Kittens

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well.

A week ago today we got two kittens. We already have two other cats, a dog and 8 fish, Yes it's like a zoo in our house, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

We got them from the Cats Protection, not to far from where we live. They were snarled with kittens who had been dumped on the streets or people who didn't want them anymore. I mean how can you not want kittens or any animals, that's just my opinion.

Our kittens had come from a house where a women had two female cats who were both pregnant, they had kittens at the same time but they came in one box, so we don't know which kitten came from which mother. They could be related or at least have the same father.

The Black one is called Lucy and the Black and White one is called Felix.

Pound-land Beauty and Fashion Haul

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all doing well.

I'm so happy to be doing another blog post. I have really missed doing them, but when you have other things going on, you have to give certain things up for a while. So I'm going to do my best and get some regular posts up for you all.

Anyway, I went into my local Pound-land and got some wonderful things. I know the make-up in there isn't new out, but for a pound it's worth it in my eyes, getting things for a pound rather than six or seven pounds etc.

I walked past the beauty stand and saw the Rimmel Apocalips and was gob smacked. I thought to myself "I'm not leaving here without them, their to cheap not to get, seeing as though people rave about them". I only saw a deep red, deep fuchsia pink and a coral pink colour. I'm not to sure what the names are, but they have numbers on the bottom of the tube.

I also managed to pick up a Rimmel HD Glam Eyes Quad Palette in English Rose. I know all these things have been out so long, but if you like me and not in the loop when things come out straight away then It's handy looking at these blog post to see what's out and if you can get a good deal.

The pound-shop have also recently brought out a new jewellery line called Purple Ivy. I got some bangles and a lovely minty coloured bracelet, which did turn my wrist green by the end of the day so it might be worth covering it with something to stop the material getting on your skin. For the price though it's really not that bad. Some primark stuff I've had in the past have made my fingers or wrist green after a couple of hours and they are more than a pound.

Below or things that I purchased, and if you like what you see get down to pound-land while you can and grab a bargain.

Thank you all for reading my posts and I look forward to writing another for you.
